By A City of Pewaukee home was destroyed in an overnight fire that may have been caused by a lightning strike, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. Pewaukee firefighters and sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the house on Broken Hill Circle South at 11:32 p.m. Deputies confirmed that no one was in the house, and neighbors said the family was out of town. The house quickly became fully engulfed and was a total loss. An adjacent home was evacuated as a precaution.
